So, while the Candy Craft Chocolate Pen states it’s designed for children ages 6 and up, I cannot imagine children being able to do that part on their own. Additionally, my husband and I had quite a bit of trouble setting up and closing off the chocolate pouches to put inside the pen. My kids did have fun using the pen to fill the molds and try to create designs and text, but they were disappointed that the pen is not very user-friendly and that they needed a significant amount of my help. However, in all honesty, our experience with the Candy Craft Chocolate Pen was a bit frustrating, especially during set-up. The idea of making your own chocolate, writing or drawing anything you want in various chocolate colors, and allowing kids to do so without having to melt their own chocolate, all sounds great. In theory, the chocolate pen is an exciting concept. You’ll find both the blue pen and the exclusive-to-Walmart pink pen, along with an exclusive set of holiday molds for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Made in the USA, it will be available this fall at Walmart and on for just under $30. The Candy Craft Chocolate Pen allows you to make cute chocolate candies by either using the included molds or using the pen to draw or write your own creations.
